The modern day version are definitely sleeker and chicer, embracing both the athleisure and oversized trouser trends. With the straps being made longer and stretchier, you can now opt to wear the band on the outside of your shoes as well.
Today, I am playing up the color contrast with white and off-white pieces. This sporty bomber, which is under $100 has a really unique texture with sherpa, faux-suede, and striped ribbed detailing. I added a black knit detailed with fringe and white booties, which are huge right now. If you haven’t already, I recommend definitely investing in a good pair. They go with everything.
