Italy: Rome, Positano, Naples, Florence, and Venice aka the trip I have waited my whole life for!! Where to even begin…each city was so different, yet so magical in their own way.
I’ll start in the heart of Italy’s capital city. Arriving at the Palazzo Naiadi was out of a dream. Chic does not even begin to define it. In a city flooding with history, this hotel connects the past with the spirit of the present in the most luxurious ways. From the marble, to the molding details, and shades of silver and gold…every room breaths elegance. That includes the bar as well! Whether it be for a late night drink or early coffee run.. .definitely a must see! (Ask for Max or Alex!)
As a first-timer to Italy, I was such a tourist. Like everyone who comes to NYC and goes straight to Times Square or the Statue of Liberty…I obviously headed to the biggest land marks. The Colosseum, Roman Forum, Trevi Fountain, The Vatican, The Ponte Vecchio…you name it, I saw it.
I think what surprised me the most was the architecture. Every single building/street was breathtaking. I couldn’t even tell you how many photos I have on my phone right now ranging from the cobblestone streets, stylish shops, trattorias, and landmarks that make you wonder just simply, “how?”

Positano was unlike anything I have ever seen…. a dramatic panorama of colors built into a steep cliff with all long, narrow roads. Driving through was insane, but so were the views. I have dreamed of going here for years, and it did not disappoint. You can spend your days lounging in the sun, or exploring the city’s color boutiques and restaurants.

Florence was a day trip. The day was spent walking around (a lot) shopping and eating (a lot) of course. The gelato I ate here was my FAVORITE of the entire trip. I am craving it now as we speak.
I got to visit The Gucci Garden which was amazing! All of the pieces in the store are exclusive and one-of-a-kind and can only be found in Florence. It makes you want everything that much more. Although there was not enough time to go through the exhibit, it was incredible just to see the store and the stunning collections.

Last, but not least…Venezia!. I think Venice may have been my favorite. Everything about the charming city was perfection…right out of the movies.
When you get off of the train, you are instantly transported into the romantic waterways and could spend hours wondering around the small city. Surrounded by café’s and restaurants…you end up eating and drinking whether you are hungry or not. And obviously Venice wouldn’t be complete without a gondola ride, no matter how cliché it sounds!

On a private island located in Venice, is the JW Marriott Resort & Spa. The luxurious getaway offers the most outstanding grounds, including the pool and spa, which overlook the lagoon and gardens. The private two floor villa had a private pool/ hot tub.
The hotel was so unique and within 15 minutes you can take the boat into the city.
