The skull motif is an Alexander McQueen mainstay. In the same silver-tone finish as the strap, it draws the focus on this shoulder bag, adding an iconic detail to the piece.

By now we know that everything that was trendy over a decade ago, always makes a come back. We’ve seen cargo pants, low-rise cuts, and Y2K fashion peaking higher than ever. As these fads enter or RE-enter our wardrobes and spotlight stealing attire continues to takeover, so do vivid colors, prints, and silhouettes that make a big impression. Called a distant relative of the harem pants, the bubble hem was born in the 1950’s and created a new type of tailoring. The voluminous detail is now back on the market and manifesting in more casual and modern ways.

The flirty finish brings a fresh, fun feel to a classic piece and makes for easy pairing with anything from heels to sneakers and sandals. This one specifically is no longer available, but I was able to find two very close matches.

Option 1: Effie Bubble Minidress

Option 2: Cleo Dress

Going along with the oversized design I added this padded Prada headband that I have wanted for SO long and finally went for it. It is definitely a splurge for a hair accessory, but it was one of those pieces I couldn’t stop thinking about. It adds an elevated touch and is everything you need to give your outfit new life.

What do you think? Are you ready to revive your old-school bubble dress?
