I hope everyone is doing amazing! As the summer comes to a close I find myself questioning weather or not to invest in certain items. It is time to start thinking about our cooler-weather wardrobe , but sometimes it is just TOO hard to pass up on certain pieces (hint: today’s tank!!!)
I feel like it has been forever since I have put a new outfit post up on the blog, but I couldn’t be more excited to share how this ‘girls’ knit top purchase can be justified and worn right into the fall and winter.
When it comes to autumn dressing…layers are key…so what makes a tank top any different? For this one in particular, I would add either a black bodysuit underneath, a snug fitting turtleneck or long-sleeve top.
Today, I have it paired with vintage inspired jeans with white eyelet details, and pink patent pumps for an unexpected GIRLy pop. A pink and brown suede bag mixed with silver and black jewelry acts as a perfect combo between street and chic. Shop today’s look below:

While I'm not feeling the greatest these last few days suffering with allergies that almost always turn into sinus problems, I'm forcing myself to keep on trucking. A little slower but non the less. I have been wanting a pair of these Stella McCartney shoes for a while now and usually by the time I'm ready to pull the trigger they are already sold out. This time I was all over them and I'm obsessed with them. They run about a half size big so beware if you should decide to get them. There are so many ways I want to wear them, I think they look good with just about everything. Today I paired them with these white jeans and a striped tee and then added a belt to pull the color from the shoes. I love to mix color and pattern to add that little spark to an outfit.
While not looking forward to fall, I wanted to start giving you all a little insight to what I have been seeing. I will be updating you from time to time now about what is popular for the upcoming season. I am seeing a lot of velvet, jacquard and leather, patchwork, large floral prints and right up my alley, Sooo many ruffles. The shoes are gorgeous... and everything is so rich looking. I feel like we are headed back to a time of ladylike elegance. Some of my favorite things this year are the Gucci kangaroo jacquard loafers, wide belts and I am loving the hand held bags of yesteryear. They started showing up this summer and are on my list for fall. I have started my pre-fall additions so be sure to check them out.

Anyway, I have wanted a pair of these Stella McCartney platforms since they came out. They are a serious splurge, but I finally went for it. I think a majority of people have a love/hate relationship with these shoes. For guys, mostly just hate. When mine finally came and my dad first saw them his first response was “what are those…….?”
Personally, I just love them and that’s all that matters to me! They are a mix of trendy and classic, and have height and traction. I originally thought I wanted a black pair with a black bottom, but I thought the burgundy would look so good in the fall. I have them pictured in my head with boyfriend jeans and oversized sweaters.
Today I paired them with a denim utility romper unbuttoned with a striped tee…effortless, cool, and comfortable…with just a hint of disco.

Finally, next month I will be back in Long Beach Island and I cannot wait…and today’s little number is definitely coming with me. When I go to the shore all of my outfits are usually easy breezy, and by that I mean…denim shorts, little dresses, and pretty much anything that equals no fuss!
This LWD has a bit of boho vibe from the tassel accents at the hem. I decided to elevate todays look with a silk floral scarf and straw boater hat to add a few extra summer details. It is always the finishing touches that make an outfit complete and one of a kind. I love a good white dress in the summer, and this one happens to be simple and chic with a back cut-out detail. With little white dresses you always have a variety of styling options so it really is up to you what you are in the mood for. You can stay all white, add black pieces for a nice black and white look or you can add statement pieces for a bold look.
Today I decided on showcasing my favorite pink patent leather and glittered pumps. They are vibrant, girly, and ohh so fun!! I added this straw shoulder bag for a final touch of pink. Shop this look below:
If you happen to be a girl on a strict budget then this outfit is the one for you. I have spoken about this before, you do not always have to have the most expensive items in your wardrobe to be stylish. Mixing high end together with less expensive things is done all the time by smart shoppers and no one will ever be the wiser. Just look for things that are made well and have great fabric. Believe it or not, this skirt was only $20.00 and it is the cutest!!! I found it at forever 21 one day when I was just shopping around looking for a few things. perfect for the office or on a day when you just need to run around getting things accomplished. During the summer I will very often wear dresses or skirts during the day because they are easy and lady like. I paired it with another inexpensive top from H&M. The wedges are Paul Andrew, the purse, j.crew, a bit more expensive but adds just the right touch, picking up the same neutral tone of the top and the stripe in the skirt. This is a smart looking outfit, very affordable and one would never guess what I paid for it. Don't be afraid to mix it up, you just might surprise yourself.

I am loving the look of scarves these days, rather around the neck, as a belt, around a hat or in the hair, they add a certain je ne sais quoi. This one in particular has an equestrian look to it, the brown tones mixed with the red are so elegant. Originally I was going to wear a red shoe but then decided to pull from the brown so I added my calf hair booties for that unexpected punch. No matter, it's still all about this scarf for me. I went from having it around my neck to tying it around my head and you are probably going to see me wearing this look at least a few times this summer as I play around with this accessory. Today I decided to wear sleek white wide-leg pants and this red and white striped off the shoulder top, another popular look this summer. Hi Everyone!!
It's almost the weekend again, I hope everyone had a wonderful Holiday. Unfortunately, I spent most of it working but that's ok, it's for the future., other than that I spent what was left with family and friends. I'm looking forward to getting back down to the shore and plans are in the making. We have been going as a family to Long Beach Island, New Jersey since I was a child. LBI is just so beautiful, relaxing and a place we can all get together and just hang out in a pair of shorts and a tee, go for a bike ride, happy hour or to the beach…I cannot wait.
Today's outfit is a combination of old and new. I have on a white tee that I paired with a blush vest and leather wrap necklace I borrowed from my mom. I love the vibe of these three pieces together…very cool yet still chic. I finally got my hands on a pair of cropped flare jeans. I found this pair at H&M. I love the raw hem (and the price makes them even better). This style pant looks great with tailored pieces and block heels for an off-duty denim style. Pure Jeanius.

After feeling a little under the weather yesterday and in bed the entire day with allergies and a pretty bad migraine, today I'm a little better. So I am going to try to go about my day, keeping my fingers crossed. I have spoken before about how I am loving wearing sneakers lately, especially with cute dresses and this is one of them. This striped dress with the cold shoulders is the second striped one I bought from French Connection and it is perfect to wear with sneakers. The look is just simple and fresh, easy to wear just about anywhere and very comfortable. You can add a few accessories with it, I thought about a white fedora with a black ribbon which would have been adorable but the decided to forgo, pull my hair back and just keep the look all about the dress. Hello everyone,
The weather here is finally nice so I'm full on with the spring and summer looks. After hosting an evening at the Rebecca Minkoff store in Soho, which I thought went very well and it was so nice meeting everyone, I received a box with all kinds of goodies from their PR people. The necklace and iPhone purse in this picture are two of those items. I decided to wrap the purse around my waist like a fanny pack which I think looks adorable. They come in several colors and I had been looking at them for a while so it was pretty exciting when I got it as a gift. Every time an opportunity comes my way to do something with my blog I become more and more addicted to it, it's so much fun and I am so grateful for the chance to do what I love. Thank you Rebecca and staff for your interest in me and thank you to all of my followers for taking the time out of your day to support me…it would not be possible without each and every one of you. Today's outfit is just a simple sleeveless top and a pair of shorts which have a skirt feel to them but when I add this fun necklace and the purse it just changes the whole look to eye popping cuteness. I'm loving it, and you will find you can do the same with any of your own outfits by just adding a little creativity with things you have in your closet. I love the color red this time of year. It is so stunning.
Last week I received this beautiful custom made coat all the way from Dubai. This floor-length coat is a statement piece for sure. I cannot thank the designer Katya Kovtunovich enough. She is taking the world by storm with her modern interpretation on Arabic fabrics by creating clothes that appeal to women worldwide.
I paired an all black look underneath for a chic, yet simple look as this coat does all of the talking. A matching beret and jeweled belt add the finishing touches. Keep an eye out for this designer as she has royal and celebrity admirers including Lady Gaga.
Tis’ the season for layering...a look that can keep you warm but also make an outfit more interesting. All you need to do is combine a few basics along with some similar style pieces. My basics today consist of a navy turtleneck and a pair of jeans. I have mixed in a feminine and fitted houndstooth blazer with a buffalo-check vest and oversized scarf.

Today’s shirtdress is one of my recent favorites…mostly because of how feminine it is. The tiered ruffle hem is dainty and chic and looks absolutely adorable when you put a little pep in your step.
My accessories add pops of pink throughout this look. This hand-beaded scarf necklace is one I have admired since I first saw it at Intermix over the summer. And then…a few weeks ago I was getting my hair done at Brush NYC and got talking to the lady next to me about these amazing earrings she had. It ended up being Mignonne Gavigan, the designer of the line. She invited me to her showroom and I came home with some stunning pieces, which you can expect to see this week. While in the showroom, I also got to preview the Spring/Summer 16 pieces and I CANNOT wait…especially for one piece in particular. I will provide more information throughout the week. I am unsure why it is soo hard to find a nice oversized black sweater…but it is. This one by Vince is a bit of a splurge, but it will take you through fall and winter with ease. It is incredibly soft and can look chic from day to night.
It may have been really nice out these last few days, but winter aka beanie weather is around the corner and all of the cute ones always sell out fast. This snowflake pompom one is by Autumn Cashmere. They always have super cute sets. Last year I purchased a matching leopard beanie, scarf, and glove set which is still one of my favorites from them. Unfortunately, this snowflake one is currently not available online but I will keep checking in and keep you posted.
