When the days get hot and humid but you still have to dress try taking a little breather in something like this off the shoulder easy breezy dress… the blue and white stripes are bold yet very striking.  Keeping it simple I just added a navy shoe and this fun clutch from Lanvin, which gives the outfit a little twist.

Dress:Alice and Olivia (Similar Here)| Sandals: Christian Louboutin (Older, LOVE this pair)

Hi everyone,

Well yesterday was a day and I found so many new things I'm loving…one thing in particular on my wish list is the Dior nano purse. I am going to make it a priority since I absolutely fell in love with it. Today I'm still running around the city and then home again to make a late afternoon barre class.

My post for today is this cute Alice and Olivia yellow dress, so bright and cheerful and so easy to wear just about anywhere. I have paired it with a multi-colored Louboutin sandal and this Trina Turk small clutch. Hope you enjoy this outfit as much as I enjoyed wearing it.

Summer is my favorite time of the year and I'm finding the cutest things to wear…feeling very lucky to have more collabs coming up soon since it's only my first year blogging. I am kind of learning as I go and the plan is to reach 10k before August which is when I want to open myself up a little more to my personality. I am feeling very grateful that people are interested in my styling and what I am about…so heres to the future!!!

Jumpsuit

Jumpsuit:Alice & Olivia (Last Seen Here)

Happy Friday to all,

Well it has been a bit of a rough time with the passing of my grandfather, I will miss him greatly as we shared a very special bond. I’m finally back on the blog and looking forward to a great summer and some travel. Just got back from spending some time in the city with my family to get a few things done then back home to shoot and can’t wait to get posting again!! Today I am wearing this white jumpsuit from Alice and Olivia. The pants and top are connected in the back by a zipper that runs straight up and then the outfit has a cute vest with a loose ruffle along the bottom over it. I can see myself getting a lot of use out of it as it is both a little dressy and casual at the same time. I have chosen to pair with a patterned shoe and then a simple black clutch for a subdued look but you could easily wear a pop of color for a statement outfit or choose to go all white. You can also switch it up a bit by taking the vest off. There are countless ways to style this look. I would love to hear how you would choose to wear it!! Have a great weekend. I’ll see you on Monday!!

Happy Friday everyone!!!

Well I'm off to the city this weekend for some fun time with the girls. I love this camo weekender bag I came across at a local boutique and it's coming with…perfect for an overnight or a couple of days. Today I am wearing a pair of Rag & Bone jeans which work so well with the so Kate Louboutin pumps and I added a great white tee and an orange sweater I bought at J.Crew which picks up the orange in my bag…just a great casual outfit to travel in. Be sure to check out my Instagram…some great shots coming up this month as I finally have gotten the time for a much needed vacation. Can't Wait!!!

Side Slit

Today’s oversized knit sweater is all about layering with the side slit. I love a great sweater and this one in particular is perfect all year round. Since it hasn’t been the warmest outside I layered a white tee and chambray shirt underneath. I just love how the open sides give visibility to the layering…especially on a day when the wind is blowing. On a warmer spring day I would not layer anything underneath it and instead, pair it with all white or a less distressed denim.

Winter Neutrals

As you can see I am a huge fan of neutral pieces. While digging through my closet I came across these floral print Free People pants (a little bit of a tongue twister) I have had for a while now. They are more of a gray tone finished with a cream colored print. I paired them with a neutral knit and suede booties for a casual look in this awful weather....which hopefully will end ASAP.

Skirt: Theory/ Top: Theory/ Boots:Reed Krakoff/ Bag: Balenciaga

Beach weather and vacation cannot come soon enough. It has been so cold this winter…I just cannot wait until it is over. I am doing my best to get a variety of outfits in even though the weather has been horrible. Todays matching skirt and top is made by Theory. Unfortunately I am not able to show you the sleeve on this cropped pullover…it has long dropped sleeves which give the outfit a very relaxed look. Instead of the matching prosecco colored skirt, I chose the black for a little contrast along with black tights and these low gray Reed Krakoff boots which seem to be a crowd pleaser. You could also choose to wear high boots or even a really nice pump to complement this outfit.

Sweater: J.Crew/Pants: J.Crew/ Boots: Sergio Rossi/ Clutch: YSL

Showing my stripes in this tee-shirt alternative sweater. This is a great top either to wear by itself or to use as a layering piece. Being that the sleeves are a little longer and the fabric is hefty and warm, I have chosen to wear it by itself today with a pair of leggings and over-the-knee boots. This outfit can be worn straight through the day and into the evening.

What seems to work for me when I am dressing for the day is to choose in three's. Whether it be texture or pattern then, I like to add a splash of color somewhere in my outfit…it tends to make everything pop out at you. Since I am more of a neutral girl I don't go overboard with a lot of color. You will most often see me in shades of a neutral. When spring and summer come around I get a little more adventurous, but during the winter months I will play more with the textures and patterns in gray, black, cream, etc.

Hat: Genie by Eugenia Kim/ J.Crew Blouse, Coat, Sweater, Pants/Boots: Stuart Weitzman /Bag: Givenchy

During cold winter months it can be so hard sometimes to bundle up to stay warm, yet still look fashionable. Winter accessories can easily look overwhelming, so I think it is important to invest in the right kind, even though they may be pricey. For example,  today I am wearing a long down puffer coat that is designed to insulate heat and manages not to look like a human sleeping bag. I paired it with leggings, and a cashmere sweater that is a good investment for layering, looking stylish, and staying warm. You lose the most heat through your head so it is definitely important to find a cute hat. I love this tweed Eugenia Kim hat that is perfect for both city streets and rural roads.

I think just about everyone loves Louboutin's and I am loving the fun pattern on this pair. This is definitely a statement shoe, made of satin and detailed with red polished nails. I kept it simple today wearing black jeans and a red mock turtleneck top as they say it all. Nothing else is needed. As much as I would like to be outside taking pics, there are those day's when it's just not practical. This week has been unbearably cold and Frankin Plaza has graciously opened their doors for me to shoot inside and we greatly appreciate it. For everyone in my area, they have just finished the third floor and you are in for a treat. It is beautiful…a must for any event!

Is anyone in need of a vaca?! I know I am and it cannot come fast enough. I have had my eye on both of these Sophia Wesbter sandals for a few weeks now. I think they are adorable and just the trick for the beach. I seem to be drawn to this shoe line for the summer...every single design is just so fun. These bikini's by Kiini and Mara Hoffman are a few of my favorites so far…I just love the bright colors. What are your plans for vaca this year?! My family and I go over places we want to go to but we are always drawn back to one of our favorites-ARUBA! Reason being, short flight, guaranteed weather, and great food. Why wouldn't we when we want to get out this weather & get to the beach!!!

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season and happy new year!! I wanted to take the time to thank everyone for following me in the beginning months of my blog. Unfortunately with the hectic holiday season and critical illness of my grandfather I have not been able to post as much as I would like to. I plan on getting back to work later this week and I hope you all will bear with me through this difficult time. On a more positive note…today I was featured on shape.com (The Shape Magazine site) in an article by Tara Blumenthal- What's Trending with Tara: Fashion Sweatpants. I added the link into my trending fashion section..but if you missed it check it out here!!

Soft lambswool meets hardware—because everything is just a little bit cooler with zippers. The detailing on this sweater and pair of Sam Edelman riding boots allows a pop of color to show through. The brown suede on the boots paired with the quilted boyfriend jacket, scarf, and sweater just screams fall!!

When wearing leggings pair them with booties similar to the Blondo ones shown above. You can wear them with an oversized sweater for a casual look or try a popover blouse with a blazer for something a little more sophisticated. This pair of edgy leggings and matching blazer are accented with leather panels and give off a hit of 'rock glamour'.
